Streaming Efficiency
Hi Team Paadal.com,
It seems that you are using the uncompressed mp3 song which wil have size around 5MB. So try to have some options like Low bandwidth and High Bandwith connectins as some connections will not support live streaming at this size.63 votes -

Online updation of counts
currenty it seems the update of the no of listens happen one time a month. It will be good if the counts are updated online.

on a scale of 1 to 5 ..
might help users identify and bring attention to good playlists among the hundreds ..
navigating the 35+ pages looking for good playlists is not fun

singer & lyricist details in player
Good player quality, it would be great if you could show the singers and lyricist details in the player.
ex:
singer: Susila
lyricist: Vairamuthu22 votesThe player is already short on space. We think that most users would want a compact player with minimal information, rather than a bigger player with all possible information. If enough people vote for this idea, we will definitely look into it.

Alternate Results to Search items
Hi,
If you show alternate results to the search items it will be very helpful. For example, If I search "Engayum kaadal" it shows no results found. But instead you can show the Similar items to the search.18 votes -
Director information in albums
It will be very good if you can update director's info with the albums. For example, I would always like to listen to ManiRatnam's songs. Also, it will be a great boost to paadal(dot)fm. It will always be a treat to hear ManiRatnam, Ilayaraja combination.
17 votesWe actually started gather information about directors from sites like Wikipedia. But not sure how feasible it is. Its definitely a treat to have director information on albums.

Ability to add favorite playlists
The reason I use paadal.com is bcas I can find nice playlists created by other users and play them without having to go through the work of creating the playlist myself.
But the bugging thing is I have no way to store my favorite playlists that I want to play again and again. Bookmarking is not ideal.
1. Ability to add a playlist to our favorite list
2. To load multiple playlists in the player (one after another should be fine)

Feel / Genre based Tagging
Please create another tag to all the songs with respect to Genre or Feeling. Like sometimes I would like to listen to sad songs or love songs or happy songs or kuthu songs. Would be nice if you can add the tag to the songs so that we can easily locate according to our mood. Like what hutke.com is doing now

Paadal FM has hosed shuffle.
I tried using Paadal FM to hear AR Rahman's songs. I thought that songs will be randomized but actually i heard the songs which are more often from same film like "alaipayuthae", "Indian"..etc.. this can be improved by different shuffling algorithms..
But overall, this site is great for streaming musics and thumps up for this site

Hi!! Nice collection of songs. Please allocate ID numbers for the songs, so that the particular song's link could be posted in forums. It would be nice if individual songs could be embedded in Orkut (Like Youtube)

Randomize play order
When I create a station it always starts with the same song and goes through more or less the same sequence. Making this more 'random' would be awesome! Nice work guys!

Playlist can be enhanced
Can add Shuffle option for the playlists and also add a provision for sorting playlist songs using dragdrop as in winamp.
